Limits

Specification limits, control limits and information related to limits are entered in this page.

 

Select option from Specification Limits group box.

Both Sided – Parameter considers both LSLLSL_Upper_specification_limit and USLUSL_Upper_specification_limit

Lower – Parameter considers only LSL

Upper – Parameter considers only USL

 

Select option from Control Limits group box.

Calculate – Select this option if you want the control limits to be calculated by the system.

Specify – Select this option if you want specify the control limits.

 

If Calculate option is selected then select option from Initial Calculation Of Control Limits group box.

 

Control Limits can be changed even if readings are taken-

Reading has taken for the selected job and user click on Modify, system check whether logged in user has ‘INST’ role or Not if user has ‘INST’ role then move further otherwise flash a message ‘Cannot modify, User role is not INST’ & then operation stop i.e can’t allow for changes.

If user role is ‘INST’ then Control limits & Init. Calc of Ctrl Limits frame get enabled.

User can modify the control limit only (UCLx, LCLx, UCLr, LCLr)

 

Use LSL and USL – Select this option if you want the Specification Limits to be considered as the initial control limits.

Calculate using 75% of nominal difference – Select this option to control limits to be calculated on the basis of 75% of the Nominal difference. See also - Formula used for calculation of control limits.

 

If Both Sided option is selected then all textboxes on this tab will be enabled. Lower option will be always disabled. If Upper option is selected then all textboxes on this tab will be enabled & LSL value will be same as Nominal value, later on if user want to modify the LSL can modify it. Also if user modify the LSL Control limit will change

 

The No of Samples needed for the Limits Calculations may be set here. If you want the control limits to be calculated repeatedly then you may check in the Recalculation edit box. Nominal Value and Setting Value is also set here.
