This screen is used for mapping the Part and its Parameter for which the Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility study shall be carried out. Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility study can be carried out in three modes viz. Manual Entry, Single Instrument and Fixtures. Depending on the mode selected the way of capturing reading changes.
The user can add the part – parameter mapping by clicking on the Add button. The mapped record is only for the local machine. If a record has been mapped on one machine, then the readings for the record cannot be taken on another machine. For adding a record, the user has to first select a Reading Mode. After selection of the reading mode, the other details have to be selected.
Part Code – It is the Part for which the Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility study has to be carried out. All the parts defined in the Part master are available in the Part Code drop down list box.
Instrument/Fixture Code – Instrument/Fixture code is the instrument that shall be used for taking the measurements. Depending upon the reading mode selected the Instruments or Fixtures are displayed. For further information on Instrument/Fixture Code
Parameter Code – Parameter code is the parameter for the selected Part, for which the Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility study shall be carried out. For further information on Parameter
No. Of Operators – No of people who are involved in collecting the readings.
No of Trials – No of trials to be taken by each operator. For further information on No. Of Operators and No. Of Trials
Decimals – Precision for the readings to be taken and calculations
Reading Type – This is applicable only when the reading mode is set to ‘Fixtures’. This drop down list box displays five values viz. STATIC, MAX, MIN, TIR and AVG. Depending upon the Reading Type selected the measurement for the parameter shall be taken.
Master Value – Applicable when the reading mode is set to ‘Fixtures’. It is the master value for the Parameter.
Formulae – Applicable when the reading mode is set to ‘Fixtures’. It is the formula consisting of the probes that are used for the measurement.
Apart from the above you can get the information about the readings taken in the following format:
Parameter
Description
Last Trial Date
Last Trial Time
Trails Done
Type
Master Value
Formulae
Fixture Description
You may click on the Mastering button for mastering fixtures wherein you may calibrate the probes and specify gain factor. This is applicable if the Reading Mode of the Parameter is set to ‘Fixture’.
Click on the Readings button to take the readings for the Part and Parameter. On click of reading user screen will be launched for accepting operator details. Depending on the mode selected the way of capturing reading changes. See for further information Manual Entry , Single Instrument , Fixtures
After the completion of all trials the parameter record is removed from the Part Parameter Mapping screen. This record shall now be available in the Calculations screen.
Modification and Deletion is allowed only if the trials have not begun for the Parameter that has to be modified or deleted.
